Operation Y2K is a short film currently being made in Portland, Oregon. The premise features two naive burnout friends that decide to rob the video store they work at on the night of Y2K, December 31st, 1999, while the security system is down.
Since most of the shooting takes place in a video store, the feature required a large amount of original period set design. In addition, a visual system that lands between nostalgia and now was designed to represent the movie branding.
